“ OK, it has been a few years since I have been here, and now I am asking myself, why did I wait so long. Hahaha. I had a beef empanada and a mushroom to start Both were so good and full of ingredients, the mushroom surprised me it was so tasty. I went back and got a spicy steak, yummm, I love spice.and another mushroom, ha. I guess I truly enjoyed that mushroom empanada. I will be going back. The staff were super friendly, they are made fresh to order so they come out hot. I love that. I got the chimichuri dipping sauce and the hot sauce. Both were delicious. ”
“ Came here because was around the block from the hotel I'm staying and weather was awful to walk anywhere else. Glad I found this place. Is a bit hidden, but cozy environment. People here were very friendly too. Empanadas are tiny tiny tiny, tho, but delicious. I ended up staying longer so I could finish my wine, which was surprisingly good and the fact they serve beer and wine. ”
“ We stopped here for lunch while attending a conference at the convention center. We heard the empanadas were outstanding and had to try them. Having never been here before Gabriel, who was working behind the counter, took his time to explain to the group of us the options and shared his favorites. Jennifer who did the cooking made the most delicious empanadas. The crust was on point and the filling generous. They had a lunch special where you got two with a sauce and drink. It was well worth the six minute walk! ”
“ I ordered 3 empanadas. Ground beef (which I was told was the most popular), ham and cheese, and steak quesadilla. My favorite were steak quesadilla and ground beef. They are slightly smaller than what they appear so it is a bit pricey for the size but it’s located in downtown Denver (very walkable from hotels in downtown) so that could be why. Either way the Empanadas were good and the staff was friendly! If you have time there’s a seating area at Denver Pavilion’s near Lazo’s which is a great place to eat your empanadas. :) ”
“ A delightful hidden gem, smack dab in the heart of Downtown Denver. If you are partial to traditional empanadas, you have to try this place! The staff was polite and the service was very quick. The dining area has the relaxing ambiance you'd expect of a cafe tucked neatly in a quaint corner nook. There are many different savory flavors to choose from, and even several sweet options as well. The dough is perfectly crispy on the outside, yet flaky and tender on the inside. The Spinach & Cheese empanada drizzled with their signature Avacado sauce, washed down with an ice cold Corona, was quite the afternoon treat. 5 Stars. Highly recommend. ”
“ This place was DOPE! The empanadas are perfection, especially the crust. We tried BBQ chicken, spicy chicken, mushroom, spinach & cheese, and a dessert one, caramel, cream cheese, and peach. We also got some chimichurri sauce. Honestly, they don’t need any sauce. They are so good! The mushroom turned out to be my favorite, I went back and ordered a second one. This place is also kid approved! My niece shared all four with me and asked for another BBQ chicken. It was honestly so good I forgot to take pics until we’d already devoured most of it. Since this is on 16th street mall, there’s no parking in front. But we snagged a spot right around the corner, so it worked out. It was nice after to take a little stroll on the mall after. ”
“ I was there on May 22 to eat after my convention, when I walked in I was greeted by a very nice girl with a smile, she went above and beyond to help me select my food as I never had empanadas. I went to a couple other restaurants and definitely the service is not the same. I was impressed with her customer service skills I think her name is Alejandra and I really appreciate the great food and customer service. Definitely Ill be stopping by again. ”
“ I was in the area and decided to give this place a try. I got the chicken empanada and the spicy beef, and both were really good! The dough was flaky and the fillings were super flavorful. They’re a bit on the smaller side, but perfect for a quick bite. The staff was really nice and helpful, and my order came out fresh and hot. I also got the chimichurri sauce, which was a great addition. If I’m back in town, I’d definitely stop by again! ”
